Jewellery Care
Our jewellery has undergone thorough testing processes to ensure its resistance to tarnishing and water damage. Rest assured that our products are designed to withstand these elements and maintain their quality over time. However, to ensure optimal longevity, it is recommended to avoid direct contact of your jewellery with perfumes, hairsprays, body lotions, and various types of water (eg. mineral hot springs, saltwater, chlorinated water). By minimising exposure to these substances, you can help preserve the quality and appearance of your jewellery for a longer period of time. We recommend following these simple precautions so you can enjoy your jewellery for years to come.
18K Gold Plated Jewellery Care Instructions:
- Avoid contact with face/body/hair products such as perfumes, lotions, sunscreen & hairspray.
- Minimise contact with water (eg. mineral hot springs, saltwater, chlorinated water).
- Clean gently with a soft, non-abrasive cloth after each use to remove dirt and oils.
- Store your gold plated jewellery in a cool and dry place, preferably in our jewellery box or pouch, to prevent tarnishing and scratches.
- Avoid exposing your gold plated jewellery to excessive sunlight or heat, as it can cause the plating to fade or tarnish quicker.
- If necessary, use a mild soap and warm water solution to clean stubborn stains or dirt, and pat dry with a soft cloth.
- Do not use abrasive cleaners or polishing cloths on gold plated jewellery, as they can remove the plating.
Stainless Steel/Sterling Silver/Rhodium Plated Jewellery Care Instructions:
- Avoid contact with face/body/hair products such as perfumes, lotions, sunscreen & hairspray.
- Minimise contact with water (eg. mineral hot springs, saltwater, chlorinated water).
- A fter each use, gently wipe your jewellery with a soft, non-abrasive cloth to remove dirt and oils.
- We recommend removing our Sterling Silver pieces before showering or swimming and to avoid them coming into contact with sweat, perfume or other harsh chemicals as Sterling Silver does not have the same tarnish-resistant properties as Stainless Steel/Rhodium Plating.
- Store your jewellery in a cool and dry place, preferably in our jewellery box or pouch, to prevent tarnishing and scratches.
- Avoid exposing your Stainless Steel/Sterling Silver/Rhodium Plated jewellery to excessive sunlight or heat, as it can cause the plating to fade or tarnish quicker.
- If tarnishing occurs, use a silver polishing cloth or a mild silver cleaning solution specifically designed for plated jewellery to restore its shine.
- Avoid using abrasive cleaners, toothpaste, or baking soda, as they can scratch or remove the plating.
With proper care and maintenance, your Gold Plated and Silver Plated jewellery can retain its beauty and shine for a long time.
